Whole-home work means coordinating structure, mechanicals, and finishes on a home you may still be living in, and doing it without losing what makes the home worth keeping.
Like our custom builds, every renovation runs on one fixed-cost budget agreed before work starts, and our own insured crew does the work with one team accountable end to end.
What a whole-home renovation involves
We plan the work in the right order so the home comes back together properly: structural changes and framing first, then mechanicals, electrical, and plumbing, then insulation, walls, flooring, cabinetry, and finishes. When a layout needs to open up, we handle the structural engineering to remove walls and connect living spaces safely. On older homes we address the systems behind the walls, not just the surfaces, so the finished home performs as well as it looks.
Our process, step by step
- Consultation. We walk the home with you, understand the scope you want, and talk honestly about what is realistic.
- Design. We plan the new layout and finishes, coordinating structure and systems from the start.
- Fixed-cost budget. We turn the plan into one fixed-cost budget before work begins. If phasing lets you stay in the home, or a temporary move is smarter, we tell you honestly at this stage.
- Build. We stage the work, protect the site, keep it clean, and hold the schedule.
- Handover. A detailed walkthrough and a home that is genuinely finished.
Where we work
We renovate homes throughout Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana, including lakefront cottages and historic homes across the Harbor Country communities. Older shoreline and in-town homes each bring their own constraints, from bluff-top lots in St. Joseph to the dune and drainage realities of New Buffalo and Union Pier, and we plan the work around what the specific home and site require.
